On November 7, 2019, the Siberian Institute of Management - a branch of the RANEPA was visited by Dr. Peter Blomeyer the Consul General of Germany.

As part of his visit, Mr. Blomeyer gave a lecture on the topic “History of Germany in the 20th Century” for students and staff of the institute.

Before the lecture, the Consul General spoke about the Berlin Wall itself, next to the art installation and exhibition of posters that were dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Speaking to students, the Consul General not only highlighted the events that took place in Germany in the twentieth century, but also shared his family stories with the audience that affected this period of time. After the lecture, everyone could ask their questions.

Acting director of SIM, Nadezhda Kirilova thanked Dr. Blomeyer for the honesty with which he spoke about the history of his country and noted that the most important thing is to do everything to prevent a repetition of the tragedies of the 20th century in the 21st century.
