On June 4-5, Sofia University (Bulgaria) hosted the International Scientific Conference "Silk Road," organized jointly with the Confucius Institute of Sofia University.

Within the framework of the conference, participants considered the cultural, political, and social life of China, the specifics of international interaction, as well as teaching Chinese as a foreign language for various purposes at various levels. Researchers from Bulgaria, Great Britain, Russia, the USA, Spain, Poland, Romania, Ukraine took part in the conference.

Marina Anatolyevna Kuratchenko, Director of the Chinese Language Center, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages, took part in the section "Language, Education and Culture," giving a presentation on the topic "The Concept of Time in Traditional and Modern Chinese Culture."
