The Russian language centre of the Siberian Institute of Management – branch of RANEPA (hereafter – Centre) is created to popularize the Russian language, history and culture.

Objectives of the Centre are:

1. to create and implement educational programs on the Russian language, history and culture for citizens of foreign countries;
2. to create and implement educational programs on the Russian language, hold events aimed at foreign applicants in order to prepare them for enrolling in the Branch;
3. to organize additional training in the Russian language for the foreign students of the Branch;
4. to provide information about the activities of the Branch in the areas of intercultural communication, social adaptation and integration of representatives of different countries and cultures into the Russian language and cultural environment.

The Russian Language Centre areas of work:

• creates and implements educational programs on the Russian language, history and culture for citizens of foreign countries;
• organizes and holds the Russian language competitions for Russian and foreign schoolchildren – the potential Branch applicants, with the use of e-learning and distant learning technologies as well;
• organizes and holds preparatory courses for foreign applicants, with the use of e-learning and distant learning technologies as well;
• organizes and holds “Total dictation” for Russian and foreign citizens and students;
• creates educational programs and necessary learning materials to teach Russian as a foreign language;
• organizes and holds summer and winter Russian language schools;
• creates, organizes and holds optional course “Russian as a Foreign Language” for foreign students of the Branch;
• organizes and holds consultations on the Russian language for foreign students and citizens;
• organizes and holds cultural events, contests for Russian and foreign students aimed at promoting motivation for learning the Russian language.
