Having been to China once it is impossible not to go back there again. And by a lucky chance, the international department of the Siberian Institute of Management invited me to participate in the student exchange program with Mudanjiang Normal University. The peculiarity of this trip is that: a student can go to study at a partner university in another country for a certain period without having to take an academic year. This is a great opportunity for those who want to improve their foreign language skills without losing the academic year.

I have been in Mundanjiang for almost two weeks now. It is a small, quiet city. The territory of the institute is a large campus where there are canteens, coffee shops, shops, a gymnasium, dormitories, classrooms, a library where students come with textbooks and laptops and spend hours doing homework. Foreign students live in a separate hostel. Most students are from Russia, Korea, but you also can meet students from African countries. I live in the same room with a Korean. We communicate in Chinese and it allows me constantly to be in the language environment.
