Deputy Director for Regional and International Development N.N. Taushkanov and the head of the International cooperation department P. A. Kutsev took part in the plenary session of the Novosibirsk’s forum “Asian Meetengs”.

At the event, speeches were given by the mayor of Novosibirsk A.E. Lokot, Deputy Governor of the Novosibirsk Region S.A. Nelyubov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Laos People's Democratic Republic to the Russian Federation S. Phetvorasak, Vice Governor of the capital Phnom Penh of the Kingdom of Cambodia S. Serich, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Benin to the Russian Federation and CIS countries A.G. Kochofa, President of the Association of Foreign Students of Russia N. Yao Adu (Cotd’Ivoire), President of the World Association of University Graduates V.V. Chetiy, Rector of Angkor University (Cambodia) and Vice-Governor of the Khovd aimak of Mongolia C. Uranchimeg.

The meeting ended with the signing of the Protocol of Intent on establishing friendly relations between the city of Novosibirsk (Russian Federation) and the city of Phnom Penh (Kingdom of Cambodia).

The Forum was organized by the Mayor's Office of Novosibirsk, the Siberian Association of International Cooperation (Novosibirsk), the Council of Rectors of the Novosibirsk Region.

We shall remind that within the framework of the Asian Meetings Forum, SIU - a branch of RANEPA was visited by delegations from Mongolia and the Kingdom of Cambodia.
