The Siberian Institute of Management has been developing fruitful cooperation with Ferghana State University since 2018.

On October 14 to 18, 2019, a delegation of the Siberian Institute of Management paid a visit to Ferghana State University, which aimed to bring this cooperation to a new level. The delegation included Deputy Director for Academic Affairs Nadezhda Kirilova, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Finance Dmitry Kunitsyn, Director of the Center for Career Development and Work with Graduates Natalya Laktionova, Deputy Dean of the Department of Distance Learning Alla Novikova and the manager of "International Economic Relations" educational program Natalya Epifanova.

The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the preparation of a joint undergraduate program in Economics called “International Economic Relations”. To discuss all the issues related to the preparation of the joint program, the delegation of the Institute held a number of meetings with the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Kabiljan Gaziev, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Akmaljon Urinov, Dean of the Socio-Economic Department Dilshod Khakimov and heads of other departments of FerSU.

The parties showed mutual interest in the joint program and discussed practical issues of developing educational and methodological support for the program and compared the curricula. In addition, during the negotiations, it was discussed and decided to open an Access Facility in Ferghana to educational resources of the Siberian Institute of Management, a branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
