Professor I. V. Knyazeva took part in a workshop-meeting of specialists from authorized bodies of the EAEU Member States

On November 12, Irina Vladimirovna Knyazeva, Professor, Head of the Center for Research on Competition Policy and Economics of the Siberian Institute of Management, a branch of RANEPA, made an expert opinion at a workshop-meeting of specialists from authorized bodies of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Competition Department of the EEC.

The purpose of the workshop-meeting is to conduct a discussion and analysis of the comprehensive document prepared by the Department "Review of Competition (Antitrust) Regulation in Digital Markets and Antitrust Regulation of Relations Using Exclusive Intellectual Property Rights" and submit proposals for the preparation of methodological recommendations in these areas.

The event was attended by representatives of the competition authorities of the EEC member states (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia), experts, as well as employees of the Department of Competition Policy and Public Procurement Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). The meeting was chaired by the Director of the Department Aliya Maratovna Dzhumabayeva.

The event was held through videoconference.

Irina Vladimirovna highlighted the main strengths of the document: international law enforcement practice in digital markets, a range of legal provisions and existing approaches to their regulation, and also made recommendations based on this market review.
